An exceptional example of antiquity, the Roman Theatre of Orange is the best preserved in Europe and now provides a unique historic setting for your outside broadcasts, films or shoots.

Built under Emperor Augustus in the 1st century A.D., this Theatre is the best preserved in Europe and is an example of Roman greatness in Provence. An essential part of social life, it was the setting for tragedies, comedies, farces and dances which delighted the public throughout the day. Imposing, majestic and perfectly preserved, the exterior facade, considered by Louis XIV to be the “finest wall in his kingdom” is striking in its grandeur and simplicity. Situated at the very heart of a picturesque Provencal city, the Roman Theatre provides a magnificent view over the city extending as far as Mont Ventoux.
