Roman Festival
Travel back in time on 11 and 12 September 2010, for a weekend’s journey to the heart of Ancient Rome.
Culturespaces is bringing the pomp of Roman times back to the ancient city of Orange with a Roman Festival at the Theatre of Orange on 11 and 12 September 2010.
More than twenty specialists on the Antiquity will host shows and workshops for children and adults throughout the weekend.
Program
Roman play and introduction to the history of Theatre
Times: 11:00 am and 4:00 pm
Show lasts 30 minutes
Gladiator shows
Times: 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm
Show lasts 15 minutes
Gladiator training (for children)
Times: 11:30 am and 2:30 pm
Training lasts 30 minutes
Presentation of a Roman chariot
Times: 2:15 pm and 5:15 pm
Movement of the Gauls
Times: 12:00 noon and 3:00 pm
Lasts 15 minutes
The stage of the Theatre will be occupied by a Roman and Gaulish encampment so that visitors can participate in Romain life.
